Terms of Service

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of computeprices.com and the related services operated by Lancekey Advising LLC ("ComputePrices", "we", "us", "our"). The services include the website, accounts, the provider dashboard, paid plans, email updates and the public API (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, creating an account, submitting a listing or buying a paid plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you can bind it to these Terms, and "you" means both you and that organization.

Definitions

  • Listing means a provider's page and entries on ComputePrices, including its profile, logo, company details and prices.
  • Provider means a company that sells GPU compute or inference APIs and is, or asks to be, listed on ComputePrices.
  • Your Content means anything you submit through the Services: listing submissions, profile edits, banner copy, community reports, feedback, sourcing requests and messages.
  • Data means the prices, catalog entries, trends and other information we compile and publish, on the website or through the API.
  • Paid Plan means any subscription or one-time purchase from us, including API plans, Market Intelligence, Supporter placements and history backfills.

Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit content or buy a Paid Plan. You may not use the Services if we have suspended or terminated your access, or if the law of your country prohibits it.

Paid Plans are sold for business and professional use. By buying one you confirm that you are acting for a business, trade or profession.

Accounts

We sign you in with a one-time link sent to your email address. You are responsible for the security of that inbox and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hi@computeprices.com if you think someone else has used your account or your API key.

Keep the email address on your account current. Notices about billing, trial expiry and changes to these Terms go there.

What ComputePrices is

ComputePrices is an independent comparison service. We collect published prices for GPU cloud instances and LLM inference APIs, normalize them so they can be compared, and publish them with editorial information about providers, GPUs and models. How we collect and normalize prices describes the method in detail.

We do not sell, operate or resell the cloud services we list. When you rent a GPU or call a model, your contract is with that provider, on its terms and at its current price.

We may change, add or remove features at any time. If a change materially reduces a Paid Plan you are paying for during a billing period, we will try to give you notice first.

Prices and data are information, not offers

Prices on ComputePrices come from provider websites, public price feeds and provider APIs, collected automatically and checked before they are published. Despite those checks, the Data can be wrong, incomplete or out of date: providers change prices without notice, pages change format, and a price can be correct for one region, size or term and not another.

  • A price we show is not a quote, an offer or a promise of availability. The provider's own current price and terms always govern.
  • Converted and normalized figures (per-GPU rates derived from instance totals, currencies converted to USD, per-second or per-token rates restated per hour or per million tokens) are estimates made by our method.
  • "Cheapest", rankings, trends, movers and other comparisons follow our published method and can change as the underlying prices change.
  • Nothing on the Services is financial, investment, procurement, legal or tax advice. Check the provider's own site before you buy, and get independent advice where a decision needs it.

If you find an error, use the report button on the price or email us. We review reports and correct what is wrong. Correction is the remedy for an inaccuracy, including for paying customers.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights, through the Services;
  • copy the Data or site content in bulk by automated means (crawlers, scrapers, headless browsers) instead of through the API, or use it to train machine-learning models, without our written permission. Ordinary search engine indexing and the llms.txt and markdown pages we publish for reading by AI assistants are allowed;
  • get around rate limits, tier limits, access controls or security measures, including by sharing keys, opening several accounts to obtain more keys or trials, or rotating IP addresses;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Services, probe them for vulnerabilities without our permission, or try to access accounts, keys or data that are not yours;
  • submit false, misleading or manipulated listings, prices, reports, reviews or company details, or impersonate another person or company;
  • send spam, malware or phishing through any form or contact channel on the Services;
  • resell or commercially exploit the Services or the Data except as these Terms or the API terms allow.

The API

The public API at /api/v1 is governed by these Terms and by the API terms of use. Those terms set out what each tier may do with the Data, including display, internal use, redistribution, index construction and competing services. If they conflict with these Terms on a point about the API or the Data delivered through it, the API terms of use control.

Your API key is a credential. Keep it secret, do not put it in client-side code, and rotate it from your account if it may have leaked. We may change rate limits, history windows, endpoints and response formats. We will try to give notice of breaking changes, as the versioning policy describes. Data from an openly licensed source keeps that source's licence, as listed in meta.attributions on every response and on our data licences section.

Payments. Stripe processes all payments. We do not receive or store your full card number. By buying a Paid Plan you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the plan's fees and applicable taxes.

Trials. A self-serve API key starts with a free trial. A trial needs no payment method and ends at its expiry date unless you subscribe. One trial per person or organization. Closing a key and creating another does not start a new trial.

Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or annual as you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your account, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. Fees are non-refundable, including for partial periods, unused API capacity and one-time purchases such as history backfills, except where the law requires otherwise or these Terms say so. We may give a refund or credit at our discretion.

Price changes. We may change the price of a Paid Plan. We will email you before the new price applies, and it applies from your next renewal after that notice. If you do not agree, cancel before then.

Failed payments. If a charge fails, Stripe may retry it. If it stays unpaid, we may suspend or downgrade the Paid Plan until it is paid.

Taxes. Prices are shown without sales tax, VAT or similar taxes unless checkout says otherwise. Where we are required to collect them, they are added at checkout.

Chargebacks. If you reverse a payment, we may end the Paid Plan it paid for.

Enterprise and custom agreements. If you sign a separate written agreement with us (for example an Enterprise data licence), that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

Provider listings

Our editorial control. We decide which providers to list and how to present them. We list providers whose prices we can collect from a public source, whether or not they ask us to. We may decline, correct, hide or remove any listing, price or profile text, including one a provider submitted or edited. Submitted listings are reviewed before their prices appear publicly, and we may reject a submission without giving a reason.

Claiming a listing. A provider's representative may claim its listing. Claims are verified, usually by matching the email domain to the provider's website. Claiming is free and gives access to the provider dashboard and profile editor. It does not give control over the prices we collect, which come from the provider's own published sources.

What you can submit. If you submit or edit a listing, you confirm that you are authorized to act for the provider, and that what you submit is accurate and lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights. Profile text must follow our content rules: no prices in editorial copy (prices come only from collected data) and a factual, neutral tone. We may edit or reject copy that does not.

Licence to us. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, translate, publish and distribute it, including logos, trademarks, company details and any price feed you declare, as part of the Services. That includes the website, the API, daily data releases, email updates and Market Intelligence. The licence lasts while the content is on the Services. Copies already delivered to API customers or captured in published daily releases and price history may remain, because those records are fixed once published.

Pricing feeds. If you declare a pricing API or feed, you confirm that we may fetch it automatically and publish the prices it contains.

Market Intelligence. Market Intelligence shows a provider how its published prices compare with other providers' published prices. It is built from the same public Data as the rest of the site. It does not include other providers' private information or any information about individual visitors.

Supporter placements

Supporter is a paid, clearly labelled sponsorship: a banner on the site and a sponsored slot in our weekly email.

  • Every banner is reviewed and approved by us before it runs, and again after each edit. We may reject, edit or remove banner copy or links at any time, including copy that is misleading, unlawful or links off the provider's own domain.
  • A Supporter placement does not affect prices, rankings, "cheapest" results, review decisions or editorial content.
  • The number of concurrent Supporter placements is capped, so a placement may not be available when you ask.
  • We do not guarantee impressions, clicks, leads or sales.
  • A placement bought through checkout starts only once the buyer's email is matched to an active, claimed listing. If it cannot be matched, email us the provider and banner copy so we can match it.
  • If a placement ends, whether you cancel it or we end it for breach of these Terms, the banner is removed at the end of the paid period or, for breach, immediately.

ComputePrices is paid for by API plans, Market Intelligence, Supporter placements, data licences and referral programs. Some links to providers carry a referral or affiliate code, and we may earn a commission if you sign up or buy through them. Referral relationships do not change the prices we show, the order of results or our editorial content, and we do not accept payment for favourable coverage.

Community reports, feedback and sourcing requests

Reports. When you report a price, availability or hidden cost, you confirm that the report is honest and based on what you saw. We may use it to correct the Data and may show confirmed reports on the site. We do not publish your identity with a report.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Sourcing requests. When you ask us to help find GPU capacity, we reply with providers that may fit the requirement. We do not broker, guarantee or take part in any contract you make with a provider, and we are not responsible for a provider's offer, capacity or performance. We do not pass your contact details to a provider without your permission.

Intellectual property

The Services, including the site design, software, text, compiled Data, catalog, methodology and trademarks, belong to us or our licensors. Except for the rights these Terms and the API terms of use grant, we give you no licence to them.

You may quote or cite individual prices and short excerpts with a link to computeprices.com as the source.

Provider and product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products we compare, and that use does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation.

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright or trademark, email hi@computeprices.com with the work, the page it appears on, your contact details and a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We will review it and remove infringing material.

The Services link to and rely on third-party sites and services, including provider websites, Stripe and the services named in our Privacy Policy. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, prices, privacy practices or terms. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Services and the Data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that any defect will be corrected.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • Neither we nor our members, employees, contractors or agents are liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, savings, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Services or the Data. That includes decisions made, or costs incurred, in reliance on a price shown on the Services.
  • Our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Services or these Terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100.

These limits apply whatever the legal theory, even if we were told the damage was possible. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Indemnity

You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Lancekey Advising LLC and its members, employees, contractors and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms or the API terms of use, or your misuse of the Services. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own negligence or misconduct.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict your access, revoke an API key, remove Your Content or close your account if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or the API terms of use, created a security, legal or abuse risk, submitted false information, or failed to pay. For security, fraud or abuse we may act without notice.

You may stop using the Services at any time and may ask us to close your account by emailing hi@computeprices.com. Cancel any subscription first. Closing an account does not refund fees already paid.

If we end a Paid Plan for our own convenience rather than for your breach, we will refund the prepaid fees for the unused part of the period.

When your access ends, your rights to use the Services end. The sections that by their nature should continue (including licences already granted to us, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and amounts owed) continue to apply.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from or related to them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Before starting a formal dispute, email us at hi@computeprices.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. If that fails, the state and federal courts located in New York County, New York, have exclusive jurisdiction, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

If you are a consumer living outside the United States, this section does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of your country of residence or your right to bring proceedings in its courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will email account holders and post a notice on the Services at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the change is required by law or needed urgently for security. Other changes take effect when posted. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you continue to use the Services after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and cancel any Paid Plan before the change takes effect.

General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, the API terms of use, the Privacy Policy and any order or written agreement with us are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
  • Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these Terms stay in effect.
  • No waiver. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of the business.
  • Force majeure. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages of the hosting, database, payment or network providers we depend on.
  • Export and sanctions. You may not use the Services in breach of US export control or sanctions laws, or if you are on a US restricted-party list.
  • Notices. We send notices by email to the address on your account, or by posting them on the Services. Send notices to us at hi@computeprices.com.
  • Relationship. You and we are independent parties. These Terms create no partnership, agency or employment relationship and no third-party beneficiaries.
