Anthropic buys from SpaceX (xAI)

Disclosed in SpaceX's IPO prospectus: under cloud services agreements signed in May 2026, Anthropic pays $1.25 billion a month through May 2029 for compute capacity of about 325,000 NVIDIA GPUs across xAI's Colossus and Colossus II, with capacity ramping in May and June at a reduced fee. After an initial three months either side can cancel on 90 days' notice, and Musk described it as a 180-day base lease. In October, Reuters reported that Anthropic's own confidential IPO prospectus shows commitments of up to $84.5 billion to SpaceX through 2029.
